Tracey Rickards is an Associate Professor with the Faculty of Nursing at the University of New Brunswick and the UNB Nurse Manager at the Fredericton Downtown Community Health Centre. Completing her PhD at Dalhousie University’s School of Nursing in 2013, Tracey’s educational career includes a Bachelor of Nursing in 1986 and Masters of Nursing in 2005 from UNB. In 2015 Dr. Rickards was awarded a CIHR Embedded Clinician Researcher Salary award, a four-year award to assist her with focusing on transformative research at the Fredericton Downtown Community Health Centre. Her research focus is on improving health outcomes for priority populations. In 2020, Tracey Rickards was awarded $1.5 million dollars for the Healthy Senior Pilot Project to investigate how best to support seniors to age-in-place and decrease social isolation and loneliness in rural New Brunswick.
