2022 Chamber College: Hiring Foreign Workers with DeLong Immigration

It is increasing apparent the domestic labour pool is not able to meet the demands of the Canadian Labour Market. With chronic labour shortages now the norm businesses will need to consider hiring foreign workers to meet their staffing needs. The current situation has in many cases forced businesses to struggle with reduced staffing, limiting opening hours, reducing service levels, and a reduction in earnings all leading to frustration by both business owners and their customers.

This presentation will provide an Overview of the process required to Hire Foreign Workers on a Temporary Basis and present the most common LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment) categories available to employers.
